About Us
Moment Lavender officially started in 2025, but the essence goes back to 2018. After years spent working in the world of Bay Area high-tech, we (Chris and Lisa) intuitively knew that living an online, always-on, always-connected existence was taking its toll on us. When we moved to semi-rural Santa Clara County seven years ago, we discovered that slowing down wasn’t just refreshing, it was necessary.
When we were heading home after work each day, we could literally feel the stress evaporating with every mile we traveled south of San Jose down Highway 101.
Both of us had faced health challenges over the years, and mindfulness became a powerful part of our healing. Lavender, with its calming scent, beauty, and evidence-based benefits, became central to that practice.
Enter the pandemic in 2020. During that time, we spent an increasing amount of time outside, hiking, being in nature, and (frankly) just trying to keep it together as we collectively worried about what was happening in the world at large. (There also may have been some karaoke.)
What started as a loose set of personal rituals quickly became central to us. We fell in love with watering the plants, working with our hands and bodies, and the wash of happy brain juice that came from scent, texture, and color. Over time, that dabbling grew into Moment Lavender, our small lavender farm and handcrafted product studio nestled here in Santa Clara County.
Who We Are
We are co-owners and equal partners in both the fields and the creative work. Though our backgrounds are rooted in high-tech and high-stress industries, we’ve always been drawn back to hands-on, real-world experiences. Family, community, craft, building things out of atoms-not-just-bits and the kind of work where you can touch and see results of your labor really, really matters. Moment Lavender reflects that balance.
Today, every bundle, sachet, and self-care essential we make is grown, harvested, or handcrafted by us using natural farming methods right here in Santa Clara County, and our oils and hydrosols are sourced from trusted partners here in California and Nevada. Our commitment is not only to quality, but to intention. We offer sensory-rich lavender experiences that help people slow down, breathe, and build small moments of calm into everyday life.
Our work is built on the knowledge that when even small things are made with care and mindfulness and used with intention, they help anchor us in the present moment.
Moment Lavender is a small, California-based lavender farm and studio.
Our products are grown, sewn, and filled in small batches on our farm, and shipped directly to customers from California.
We use a separate mailing address for correspondence while operating and fulfilling orders locally.
